So, the time has finally come. Tomorrow we are off to Singapore, heading out of JFK at 2:55 PM. It has been a hectic last day running all the final errands. The mosquito nets that I had to pay a fortune to get next-day delivery for thankfully arrived this morning, so now we can at least reduce our risks of getting Malaria or that lovely Dengue Fever... The P/J DEET Train also pulled up to REI in DC earlier today, so now we got all the right mosquito repellent and protection. Gotta stay disease free out there so no one's trip is cut short!
Speaking of Pete and Jeremy, they are still in DC... finishing up last minute things and packing they told me, looks like they won't be getting to NJ until 1 or 2 AM tonight. Jeremy told me not to wait up, but it might be better for reducing jet lag to just pull an all-nighter tonight and sleep on the first half of the flight. That way we will be awake for the last part of the flight, land around midnight in Singapore, and immediately go to bed.
Marty-Party has volunteered his services (or perhaps mom has volunteered his services for him) as our personal chauffeur tomorrow, so we are all set.
I'm going to finish up packing now... VERY excited to get this long-anticipated journey off to a start!!!
